The following was taken from the Yorkshire Regiment website

Killed in action 27 May 1918 aged 21. Son of Richard and Gertrude Hansom of Carlton Terrace and later Harbrons Yard, and 5 Blenavon Court, Yarm. He had enlisted in Stockton. Soissons Memorial, France

Yarm1914 believe that Eli Oliver Victor Hansom was born in 1898 and lived on darlington Road, Urlay Nook. His father Richard aged 29 was a laborouer at a chemical works and his mother Gertrude was 21 at the time. In 1901 the family also included a sister Charlotte Constance Delores born in 1900 two uncles Robert and George Henry and a lodger Peter Harwood. Peter married Annie Ovington Reed on 31 October 1901 and joined the East Yorkshire Regiment aged 35 on 7 November 1914 and given number 14531 and appered to survive.
